Hi. My name is Mary Henthorn. I have been providing pediatric occupational therapy services in a variety of settings including private outpatient, school based, daycares, early intervention, and teletherapy since 2010. I am passionate about helping children of all abilities live life joyfully. I have expertise in sensory processing, fine motor skills, visual motor and perceptual skills, self-care skills, handwriting, feeding and oral motor skills, and social emotional learning. I value play-based therapy to make therapy fun while building relationships with families. I believe parent involvement is crucial in order to make the most change and gains. I am constantly learning new techniques but know that my biggest teachers are the children themselves. Some of my trainings include but are not limited to Handwriting Without Tears, Size Matters Handwriting Program, Superflex, How Does Your Engine Run, NDT, The Zones of Regulation, The Listening Program, Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, Astronaut Training Program, DIRFloortime, and the Size of Problem Program.
